How I Wear My Bodysuit: Juliana Salazar

Juliana Salazar is the Social Media Director at Hirshleifers and a contributing writer at Refinery 29. Last week, she welcomed us into her beautifully decorated East Village apartment where we got to ask her some questions about her inspirations and interests. Read more about this ALIX babe and how she incorporates our bodysuits with her dope style.

Q: Who inspires you?

A: Leandra Medine was definitely huge for me when I was in college trying to figure out what I wanted to do once I graduated. I've been following her since the very beginning and it is so crazy to see how much she has been able to create for herself. She's incredibly smart and I love her sense of humor. Virgil Abloh is also crazy inspiring to me. I really admire his 'anything is possible if you just start' attitude. And his productivity! He literally has his hands in everything and the quality/level of dopeness is never sacrificed. He really makes you feel like you can do it all. And my Mama! She inspires me the most. She moved to Miami from Colombia when she was younger than I am now. Totally by herself and with no support from her family, and was able to make her dreams come true.

Q: How would you describe your personal style?

A: I think my personal style is very moody. It really depends on how I'm feeling / what I'm doing. I love juxtapositions though so if I'm wearing a really flirty dress I'll pair it with sharp oxfords, or if I'm wearing a men’s inspired blazer I'll go for denim-cut offs and a sexier shoe, etc.

Q: What is most important to you about your clothing?

A: Versatility and wearability. I want to be able to wear everything a million different ways and to a bunch of different places. I'm all about day-to-night dressing.

Q: How do you wear your ALIX bodysuit?

A: Anything high-waisted.

Q: What are your go-to songs / musicians?

A: Right now, I'm all about Majid Jordan and the few leaked songs from Drake.

Q: How do you spend your days? Nights?

A: Days, working! Nights, there's nothing better than long, funny dinners with friends (which I then usually try to transition into a night out).

Q: Favorite food?

A: This is really hard for me, but I guess I would have to go with steak. Love a good steak-frites dinner, but I also really love sushi and Italian food. And I'm obsessed with ice cream. I eat it almost every night.
